Nathan Ray Henderson

Nathan Ray Henderson, best known on stage as Nathan Ray, was born in Arlington, Texas and grew up in Abilene, Texas. Even at the young age of two, Nathan Ray spent hours in his cowboy boots and hat singing along and performing with the radio. Country music legends like George Strait, Merle Haggard, and Garth Brooks ignited Nathan Ray’s passion for music, singing, and songwriting. Nathan Ray’s unique sound is a blend of the legends with a touch of his cousin Conway Twitty thrown in the mix. Nathan Ray was the lead singer in the band Cowboy Up (2006-2009) and toured the southeast, appearing on local television and radio stations. In 2024 Nathan was Crimson music awards Christian County Male Vocalist of the year
Nathan Ray can be found performing traditional country and southern rock classics as well as his original songs in local venues or singing Christian gospel songs in churches, as well as in Christian cafés, coffee houses, and festivals. Nathan Ray even shares the gospel as a guest preacher at times.
